Mark Noah, a native of Fargo, North Dakota, is the cherished brother of four sisters and part of a large, close-knit extended family.

 

He began his education in Fargo’s public schools before transferring to Nativity Elementary School in the fourth grade. A 2022 graduate of Shanley High School (JPII Catholic Schools), Mark is currently pursuing degrees in Business and Psychology at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. He has been an active and engaged member of the Concordia community, participating in the Kantorei Choir and Men’s Golf Team during his first two years. Since his junior year, he has proudly sung with The Concordia Choir, one of the college’s most distinguished musical ensembles.

 

Diagnosed early in life with Smith-Lemli-Opitz syndrome (SLOS), Mark has embraced his journey as an opportunity to make a meaningful impact. He has contributed to vital SLOS research through his participation in clinical studies at both the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, and Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon.

 

Since 2006, Mark has been instrumental in fundraising efforts that have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the SLO Foundation. With a strong understanding of the need for long-term sustainability in nonprofit work, he is now focused on building this endowment to ensure the Foundation’s continued ability to support families affected by SLOS for generations to come.

 

Mark’s strength, leadership, and dedication—along with the generosity of his many supporters—are creating lasting change for children and adults living with SLOS across the globe.
