Dear Friends and Family,
Thank you for your interest in the 1st Annual Mark Noah Golf Tournament which benefits the Smith-Lemli-Opitz Foundation.
Many of you have walked with us on our 17-year journey since Markie was born and then later diagnosed with SLOs when he was 2-1/2 years old. Twelve of these years we hosted fundraising events from walks to large mite & squirt hockey jamborees. In total, with your support, we have raised over $350,000.00 for the SLO Foundation to further SLOs awareness & fund research into the syndrome, host national family medical and scientific conferences, and provide critical support for families who have children and adults diagnosed with SLOs. It has been an amazing ride full of many blessings along the way.
If you can believe it, Markie is going to be a senior at Shanley High School this year. He swims for the combined Fargo South men’s swim team and also plays on Shanley’s golf team. He works at the Fargo Country Club and is always up for playing a round of golf. Covid-19 caused him to be online for school during the spring of his sophomore year and most of his junior year. But after being fully vaccinated in February, Markie was able to return to school in March 2021. He is looking forward to his senior year at Shanley in the fall and has already started touring colleges this summer. We are grateful that his health remains good and his heart condition is staying in check.
Thank you so much for your friendship and for being a part of this golf tournament in supporting the Smith-Lemli-Opitz Foundation. We are deeply grateful and look forward to seeing you in September.
The Noah’s
